Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen, 26, has missed the club's last three games across all competitions due to an injury he sustained while on international duty with Nigeria.

However, he could be fit for Friday's Super Lig clash against Alanyaspor. Despite training with his teammates on the eve of Monday's league match against Konyaspor, the powerful striker was not included in the squad.

Galatasaray's coach, Okan Buruk, is optimistic that Osimhen will be ready for the upcoming matches against Alanyaspor and, more importantly, next week's UEFA Champions League home fixture against Liverpool.

"He still has minor aches and pains. We hope that if he can tolerate these and play, he will be with the team in the next match," Buruk was quoted as saying via gozlemgazetesi.com.

"We hope he will be in the squad for the Alanya match. We will try him out in training. We expect him to be on the pitch for the Liverpool match as well."

Osimhen has scored two goals in three league appearances for the Yellow and Reds this season.

His fitness is considered vital for the team to achieve its goals, especially given his sparkling form last season when he scored 37 goals in 41 appearances.
