Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen are flying in the Bundesliga with Nigerian forward Victor Boniface and Jonathan Tah leading the club.
Boniface continued his impressive start to leave in the Bundesliga with another excellent outing as Bayer thrashed Borussia Monchengladbach 3-0 on the road.
The summer signing netted a brace, in between another goal from Tah, to get off the mark for the season for his new German club.
Boniface continues fine start for Leverkusen
In what was his second start and match for the club, the 22-year-old is proving to be a shrewd signing by Alonso and the club.
The Nigerian youngster delivered a man of the match display to continue from his brilliant debut game last weekend.
He started the scoring in the first half, in what was his first goal in the Bundesliga, and completed it in the second half before he was subbed off with two minutes left to play.
The former Union Saint-Gilloise star has now scored two goals and assisted one in just two Bundesliga matches for Bayer Leverkusen.
