UCL: Mbappe overtakes Victor Osimhen in Golden Boot race after 4-goal masterclass

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has surged ahead of Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen to claim the top spot in the UEFA Champions League scoring charts for this season.

Mbappe delivered a sensational performance in Real Madrid’s thrilling 4-3 victory over Olympiacos on Wednesday, netting an incredible four goals to move into the number one position.

Before Matchday 5, the Frenchman had five Champions League goals to his name, one behind Osimhen.

Following his midweek haul, Mbappé now boasts a total of 9 goals, putting him three goals clear of Osimhen after this round of fixtures.

Mbappe has also pulled ahead of other elite strikers in the competition, including Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane.
