Transfer News: Besiktas make decision on Ndidi to Man United

Besiktas are reportedly prepared to sell Wilfred Ndidi to Manchester United and have set a €15 million price tag despite only recently signing the Nigerian.

The 29-year-old joined the Black Eagles last summer, after the Turkish-based side utilised the relegation clause in his contract to sign him for a reported €9.5 million. Ndidi immediately rose to prominence at the club and was made vice captain.

Despite the Super Eagles captain’s importance to Sergen Yalçın's setup, Besiktas are said to be open to letting him go, as they have sufficient cover in the base of midfield.

This is per, talkSPORT’s Ben Jacobs, who reported the following. “The massive northern club do have several options in Ndidi’s role. Ndidi is said to be well compensated at his new home, and overly generous wages may be a deterrent in United’s recruitment drive, while alternative option Rúben Neves appears to be a no-go.”

The Super Lig outfit are said to be open to discussing a loan for the rest of the season, provided an obligation to buy of €12 to €15 million is included in the deal.

As Pulse Sports reported, Manchester United have been linked with the signing of Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi and AC Milan's Ruben Loftus-Cheek, as they are keen on bolstering their midfield options in the winter transfer window to improve Michael Carrick's chances.

Ndidi has been a long-term target for the Red Devils, and according to recent reports, the Manchester-based outfit might be ready to pull the trigger.
