Argentine superstar and football legend Lionel Messi has become the first player to win back-to-back Landon Donovan MVP awards while also claiming the Golden Boot and MLS Cup MVP.
Messi scored 29 goals in 28 regular-season games to secure the Golden Boot, powering Inter Miami to the Supporters' Shield as Eastern Conference champions with the league's best record.

The 38-year-old then earned his second consecutive MLS MVP, a historic first in league history.
In the MLS Cup final last week, Inter Miami defeated Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1 at home. Messi opened the scoring with a brilliant left-footed strike and assisted the second goal, earning unanimous MLS Cup MVP honors for his commanding performance.

Inter Miami boss and long-time teammate Javier Mascherano affirmed Messi's influence, stating:
"He was fantastic the whole season, with the numbers and also with the commitment."
Mascherano added, "The reality is that Leo clears all doubts."
This latest accolade adds to an already staggering collection of individual honors for Messi, including a record eight Ballon d’Or titles, eight Pichichi trophies as La Liga’s top scorer, six La Liga best player nods, three Best FIFA Men’s Player awards, three UEFA Men’s Player of the Year wins, and two FIFA World Cup Golden Balls.
