Onyeka's loan move to Augsburg was prompted by a lack of playing time at Brentford under Thomas Frank.
However, he has thrived under Jess Thorup's management, becoming a key player for the team.
Augsburg's decision to return Onyeka to Brentford comes as the team is set to secure safety in the German top flight, with 40 points on the horizon, they are currently 11th on the league table.
Meanwhile, Brentford has managed well without Onyeka, who was a fringe player at the club. The Bees are currently 12th in the English Premier League table with 42 points from 31 games, ensuring their safety from relegation.
