Salah shows he's better than all Super Eagles strikers, scores four against Djibouti

The Egyptian star scored four goals against Djibouti during their first qualifier for the 2026 Fifa World Cup.

Egypt were ruthless in their first qualifying match against Djibouti and thrashed the Riverains de la Mer Rouge 6-0 in Cairo. 

But Nigerian strikers were wasteful in front of goal against Lesotho with the game ending 1-1 at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.

The Egyptian superstar was at his best against Djibouti and showed Nigerian strikers how to put the ball in the back of the net.

According to reports from BBC, In the 17th minute, Mostafa Mohamed curled in a cross from the left, setting up Salah's first goal for Egypt.

Salah scored his second goal five minutes later from the penalty spot. Shortly after the interval, he scored his third goal after charging on an Ahmed El Fatouh pass.

With twenty minutes remaining, Salah scored his fourth goal, assisted once more by El Fatouh, and four minutes later, Mohamed added his fifth.

However, the Super Eagles were unable to get the maximum three points against Lesotho in their first World Cup qualifiers.

The Nigerian strikers were unable to get the ball into the back of the net and wasted a lot of chances created.

They were only able to depend on Semi Ajayi’s header from a corner kick which came as an equaliser during the game.

Salah’s four goals against Djibouti showed that he is a far better finisher in front of goal than all Super Eagles strikers.
