Ronaldo or Messi? Dybala reveals world's greatest player

Paulo Dybala has hailed compatriot Lionel Messi as the number one player in the world while also revealing his admiration for Brazilian legend Ronaldinho, calling him "my idol."

Speaking on CazeTV Official, he said: “Ronaldinho is my idol, but Messi is definitely number one.”

Dybala was a part of the Argentine winning squad in Qatar last year and he saw firsthand the influence of Lionel Messi as the country's captain played a starring role in bringing the trophy home.

Messi will now continue his career in the MLS with Inter Miami after rejecting an opportunity to return to Barcelona but playing outside Europe is unlikely to stop the 36-year-old from being the favourite to win his 8th Ballon d'Or. 

The former Barcelona and PSG attacker will face competition from Manchester City's Erling Haaland and former teammate Kylian Mbappe to land the prize of Europe's best player.
