Report: Leeds make opening bid for Juventus' McKennie
Leeds have reportedly made an opening bid for the signing of 24-year-old American Weston McKennie from Juventus.
McKennie to Leeds
Leeds are looking to strengthen their midfield, and they have Weston McKennie at the top of their list. The Premier League club entered negotiations with McKennie's current employers, Juventus, and are said to have tabled a first bid.
According to Transfer Journalist Fabrizio Romano, Leeds have tabled a first bid of €28 million to Juventus for Mckennie, who has already agreed on personal terms with the club managed by his compatriot Jesse Marsch. However, it falls short of the €28 million Juventus are asking for the player.

The move is expected to happen in the coming days, with the transfer window coming to an end.
Mckennie gets a chance to relaunch his career
McKennie was a highly regarded prospect when he signed for Juventus from Schalke for €25 million.
The young midfielder, who has already made 41 appearances for his country, was viewed as the present and future of the Old Lady.
However, injuries and other factors have stunted his growth at Juventus.
A move to Leeds gives him a chance to relaunch his career with a manager and system that suit his abilities.
