Remo youngster confesses love for Ronaldo after shattering LaLiga U15 record

Beyond Limits superstar Opeyemi Yusuf has confirmed he is a super fan of Cristiano Ronaldo after he inspired his club to glory.

He was the hero as for the second consecutive season, the Remo Stars Academy have shown they are cut from the different fabrics in the NPFL LaLiga U15 Promises.

Beyond Limits were Friday evening crowned the champions of the U-15 tournament for the second season in a row following a hard-earned 1-0 win over Mees Palace in the final of the LaLiga competition.

Of course, Yusuf stole the show after scoring the match's only goal in the second half to give Remo another title.

The goal was a well-directed header that sailed past the helpless Mees goalkeeper and proved to be the difference between the two in a keenly contested final.

The goal against Plateau United’s Mees was the 10th of the campaign for the Remo superstar.

It took him six matches to score 10 to break the competition’s record of nine goals in a single season held by Million Coma of Rangers International from the first season.

En route to the final, Yusuf celebrated with the SIU after he scored a brace in the 4-2 semifinal thriller against El Kanemi Warriors.

Speaking after the final, the visibly excited Yusuf confessed his love for the Portuguese legend Ronaldo.

“I am really happy that I did it for my club,” Yusuf told Pulse Sports moments after the game.

“Yes, I am a Ronaldo fan,” he added after he was reminded of the Siu celebration.
