‘Osimhen was very bad’ - Turkish commentator claims Super Eagles star played his worst game against Fenerbahce
Galatasaray played a 1-1 draw with Fenerbahce on Monday in the Turkish League, with both teams aiming for the title.
The highly anticipated Süper Lig clash saw Galatasaray take a first-half lead through Leroy Sané in the 27th minute.
However, their hopes of securing a crucial victory were dashed when Fenerbahce's Jhon Durán found the net late in stoppage time to level the score.
Şener speaks on Osimhen’s performance
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Şener did not hold back in his assessment of the Nigerian international's display in the heated Istanbul derby.
"Osimhen played his worst match since his arrival. He kept losing the ball. Osimhen was very bad," Şener remarked, as reported by Habersarikirmizi.
Despite being a key figure in Galatasaray's attack, Osimhen struggled to make a significant impact.
The Nigerian international had to recover from an injury in time for the game, having missed Galatasaray’s last three matches.
The forward has had his season hampered by injuries, but has still managed to score six goals in the Champions League and three in the domestic league.
Osimhen will have an opportunity to bounce back when the reigning Turkish champions host Samsunspor in their next league fixture.
