'NO' — Neymar makes shocking admission about Liverpool's transfer target
Brazilian superstar Neymar revealed that he does not know Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz who is set to make a record-breaking €100+ transfer to Premier League champions Liverpool.
What Neymar said
The former Barcelona star is back in Brazilian football playing for Santos after a failed, injury-ridden stint with Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League.
Neymar featured in a post-season friendly against Bundesliga side Leipzig; it ended in a 3-1 defeat for the Brazilians. After the match, he was stopped for questions by Sky Sports Germany reporters.
“What do you think about Florian Wirtz? Do you know Florian Wirtz from Germany?” they asked Neymar. With a blank expression on his face, he responded, saying, "No.”

Neymar: "No"
• Jamal Musiala?
Neymar: "Ah Jamal Musiala yes. A great player, a 'crack'. I think he will be one of the greatest in the future"

He was asked the same question about Jamaal Musiala, and he responded enthusiastically, saying “yes,” before going on to sing the praises of the Germany international.
Neymar has squared off against Musiala before in a game between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, and the midfielder of Nigerian descent got the opportunity to swap shirts with Brazil's top scorer, who he said was his idol.
While Neymar's obliviousness to Wirtz is a testament to the midfielder's lack of popularity, it says nothing about his talent, as Liverpool are set to break their club record transfer fee to land him from Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
