Inter Lagos and Oga Boys Ikorodu City will head to Enugu State for the decisive NNL Super 8.
In what is their first-ever season, Inter took a giant step into NPFL football following a routine win while Ikorodu City confirmed their position as Conference winners champions with an emphatic win.
Inter Lagos make history
In the first time of asking, the Pride of Lagos, Inter, will play for a chance to be in the NPFL after an expected 2-0 win against Ijebu United on Sunday.
Sani Ibrahim and Othuke were the heroes for Inter after they scored the important goals at either half to help the Pride cement second spot.
Inter join Conference A leaders and winners, Ikorodu City, to book tickets to the season-ending playoff, the Super 8 in Enugu.
Heading into the season finale, Inter, Ijebu and Osun United were separated by just two points and goal difference of two goals.
But after 90 minutes, it was the Lagos side, playing in their packed adopted home, Legacy Pitch, inside the National Stadium, Surulere, who rose to the occasion with a routine win.
Oga Boys end on a high
Meanwhile, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Ikorodu City, who entered the final day of the season as the only team in the conference to confirm their super 8 place, did not take their foot off the pedals.
