Nike unveils tribute video to LeBron James for breaking NBA all-time scoring record

LeBron James surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the all-time leading scorer in NBA history after scoring his 38,388th point against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the early hours of Wednesday, February 8, 2023.

King James broke a record that stood tall for nearly years, as the 39-year-old continues to blaze the trail as one of the greatest  basketball players of all time, having dominated the game for 20 years.

James has been signed to sportswear giants Nike since he was in high school and has built an incredible relationship with them, releasing some of the most iconic collaborations in history.

The Lakers superstar even has his own team within the organization, a center for innovation named after him, and a lifetime contract with the iconic shoemaker.

Nike paid tribute to LeBron by making a stunning video that took some of his best moments and incorporated the clips with a church sermon that sought to recognize his true greatness as an athlete.

Although, LeBron never set out to be the all-time leader in points scored, his trophy-laden career has now led him to this point.

The 38-year-old Ohio native has achieved everything he could have in basketball with many expecting to see a few more years of greatness from King James. 

LeBron has been sensational this season in his quest to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a playoff berth despite their roster deficiencies. 

Trades are desperately needed in LA to salvage the season and ensure LeBron hasn't made history in a loss while wearing a Lakers uniform once again.

Many LA Lakers fans also expect the front office to increase efforts to find James some quality help on this roster to help the team’s ambitions.
