Stanley Nwabali (3.5/10)

Stanley Nwabali continues to pile up shaky performances and this game against Tunisia was the latest entry.

The Chippa United goalie should have done better for Tunisia's first goal in the game. He also made questionable decisions for the rest of the game.

Bright Osayi-Samuel (4/10)

Bright Osayi-Samuel did not offer much going forward and was not the most solid at the back. His careless handball also led to Tunisia's penalty which handed the Carthage Eagles a way back into the contest.

Semi Ajayi (6/10)

Semi Ajayi was solid for 70 minutes of the game. However, his aerial prowess could not help Nigeria prevent Montassar Talbi's goal.

Calvin Bassey (6/10)

Calvin Bassey also had a strong showing. He was vocal at the back, marshalling the defence, and helped Nigeria progress the ball. However, he and the rest of the Super Eagles backline were shaky in the later parts of the game.

Bruno Onyeamachi (4/10)

Bruno is one half of the weak performances from Super Eagles' fullbacks in the game. Tasked with providing width, the Olympiacos man contributed little going forward.

Wilfred Ndidi (7/10)

Captain Wilfred Ndidi was a stalwart in the middle of the pack. He was key to Nigeria's dominance for two-thirds of the game with his ball winning in midfield; additionally, he scored the second goal of the game to put the Super Eagles two goals in front.

Alex Iwobi (7/10)

One might soon run out of superlatives for Alex Iwobi, as he continues to sew excellent performances together. He kept things ticking in midfield, and his incisive passes directly resulted in Nigeria's high-scoring

Frank Onyeka (6/10)

Frank Onyeka replaced Samuel Chukwueze in the lineup, and his inclusion proved inspired. Onyeka's energy and tackling helped stifle Tunisia's usually capable midfield, and helped the Super Eagles stamp their authority on the game.

Ademola Lookman (9/10)

He was sensational. Ademola Lookman continues to boost his AFCON CV, as he added two assists and a goal to his tally.

The Atalanta man set up Victor Osimhen and Wilfred Ndidi for both their goals with inch-perfect crosses. He capped off the excellent performance with a brilliant goal in which he made the Tunisia backline dance.

Akor Adams (5/10)

Akor Adams had a decent first half, in which he created two good chances for Osimhen. However, he slowly drifted off the game before he was eventually replaced.

Victor Osimhen (7/10)

Osimhen got off the mark at AFCON 2025 with a brilliantly headed goal, and registered an assist with his cut back for Lookman's strike. He also proved a handful for the Tunisia backline, beating them to the ball on multiple instances.
