The Magpies are desperate to add atleast one new striker to their squad ahead of the transfer deadline, and after a series of setbacks, reports suggest they have finally reached an agreement.

Newcastle have been adamant they will not sell their prized asset, but credible reports suggest they could be tempted to do so if a replacement is found.

Woltemade fits the profile of player Eddie Howe wants as his main striker, and his tall frame, standing at 6 ft 6, will cause a problem for Premier League defenders.

The 23-year-old had an excellent season for Stuttgart in 2024-25, scoring 17 times across 33 matches, and was top scorer at this summer’s European Under-21 Championship with six goals.

Bayern Munich had made three bids this summer for Woltemade, all rejected by Stuttgart. .

This move could now open the door for Isak to join Liverpool, who previously failed with a £110million offer for the striker on August 1.
