PSG are expected to sack current manager Christophe Galtier despite delivering the Ligue 1 title this season.
The club's hierarchy are said to be dissatisfied with the team's play and performances throughout the course of the season and especially in the Champions League.
PSG want Nagelsman to replace Galtier
Following Saturday's 3-2 loss to Clermont, PSG finished just one point clear of Lens at the top of the Ligue 1 table.
Roma's Jose Mourinho and former Spain boss Luis Enrique have also emerged as candidates to succeed Galtier, but according to Foot Mercato, Nagelsmann is now the number one contender.
🚨 Paris Saint-Germain have discussed Julian Nagelsmann internally as one of the candidates for the job. Option to be considered as process will enter crucial stages next week. #PSG
