Mikel Obi links up with Ronaldo, Guardiola at FIFA THE BEST Ceremony

Super Eagles legend John Obi Mikel was present at the 2023 FIFA THE BEST Award ceremony where he linked up with legends of the game.

Former Chelsea and Nigeria midfielder Mikel Obi was part of a star-studded FIFA THE BEST Award ceremony on Monday night in London.

Obi was hugely successful during 11 years with Chelsea, making 372 appearances and scoring 6 goals.

He won numerous trophies, including two Premier League titles, four FA Cups, the 2011–12 UEFA Champions League, and the 2012 UEFA Europa League.

The award for best men's player of 2023 was given to Lionel Messi, who was absent on the night, but there were other dignitaries present and Mikel Obi posted the images on his Instagram.

The ex-Chelsea man also met Blues co-owner Todd Boehly who was present at the event.

Lionel Messi beat out Man City's Erling Haaland, and PSG star Kylian Mbappe to make it a clean sweep of 2023 individual honours for the legendary Argentine.
