That is the best for you - Šeško heeds Klopp's advice and chooses next destination
Newcastle began their search for a striker and made Sesko their main target after it became clear that Alexander Isak was pushing for a move to Liverpool.
To convince Šeško to join them at St James' Park, the Magpies improved their initial offer, which the Slovenian accepted.
Sesko picks Newcastle
RB Leipzig's top scorer Benjamin Šeško is edging closer to joining Newcastle after the Magpies made a bid for the forward.
The 22-year-old striker has opted for the Magpies over Manchester United, who were also strong contenders for his signature, according to Slovenian publication "Delo", via Sportal.
Šeško has reportedly agreed personal terms with Newcastle, and the transfer fee is expected to be between €70 and €80 million, though negotiations between the two clubs are yet to begin.
Various sources suggest Jürgen Klopp played a significant role in Šeško's decision. The former Liverpool manager, currently global director of football operations at RB Leipzig, reportedly advised the striker to choose Newcastle over Manchester United.
Šeško scored 13 goals in the Bundesliga last season. He was previously linked with a move to Arsenal, but the Gunners then shifted their focus to Viktor Gyökeres.
