Lookman resumes training with Atalanta after injury scare on Super Eagles duty
Ademola Lookman has given Atalanta a boost ahead of their game against Parma in the Serie A this weekend.
The 27-year-old played for Nigeria in their first 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin but left the Super Eagles camp on Saturday following an injury scare.
This forced him to miss the 2-1 defeat to Rwanda in Uyo.
Lookman has been Atalanta's best player this season, and arguably the most consistent performer in Serie A.
According to Calcio News24, the former Everton man returned to light training on Wednesday, increasing his chances of playing some part against Parma.
Meanwhile, Lookman has been nominated for another award as his fairytale 2024 continues.
The prestigious Italian football award recognizes the top performers in Serie A.
He will compete against fellow Serie A stars Marcus Thuram, Lautaro Martinez, and Rafael Leao for the award.
