Ligue 1: Sore loser Kylian Mbappe clashes with Super Eagles star Terem Moffi

Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe was involved in a confrontation with Nigerian striker Terem Moffi in his team’s defeat to Nice.

Francesco Farioli’s side handed PSG their first defeat of the season tonight, beating Le Parisiens 3-2 at the Parc des Princes.

Les Aiglon’s striker Moffi opened the scoring in the 21st minute of the game, but Mbappe restored parity eight minutes later. 

Upon returning from the half-time break, the visitors increased their intensity and went ahead again in the 53rd minute thanks to a Gaetan Laborde strike. The Nigerian striker grabbed his brace in the 63rd minute, doubling Nice’s lead.

Mbappe scored late to make it 3-2, but it did not come early enough to inspire any sort of comeback.

Elated by his second goal of the game that put Nice 3-1 up, Moffi celebrated in grand fashion, taking off his jersey and lifting it to the sky.

This did not go down well with the home crowd or PSG’s captain, Mbappe, who was visibly agitated by Moffi enjoying the moment in their backyard. A video shared by GFFN showed the France international advancing aggressively towards the striker and seemingly sending expletives his way.

Moffi’s Nice teammates, notably former Brazil international Dante, attempted to de-escalate the situation 

PSG will next be in action midweek as they host Dortmund in the Champions League. Nice, on the other hand, will wait until next weekend when they play Monaco in Ligue 1.
