Kylian Mbappe scored a hattrick, which included a goal assisted by Thibaut Courtois, as Real Madrid beat Kairat Alamaty 5-0.

When Los Blancos drew Kazakhstan Premier League side it was clear the fixture would be one of the easier ties for Xabi Alonso's side. Mbappe dispelled all notions of an upset when he opened the scoring in the 25th minute, before scoring again in the 52nd and 73rd minute. Eduardo Camavinga and Brahim Diaz closed of the scoring in the 83rd and 93rd minute.

Madrid began sharply, and their breakthrough came in the 25th minute when Kylian Mbappe stepped up to convert a penalty after a foul in the box, sending the keeper the wrong way. 

In the 52nd minute, Mbappé latched onto a precision pass from an unlikely source, Thibaut Courtois. He raced into space, and slotted in to make it 2-0. 

Real Madrid continued to press, and in the 73rd minute, Mbappé completed his hat-trick with a powerful effort from just outside the area that left the goalkeeper with no chance. 

Close to full time, Eduardo Camavinga rose highest from a corner to head home Real’s fourth. Then in stoppage time, Brahim Diaz sealed the result, pouncing on a loose ball inside the box and delivering the finish. 

The 5-0 win was the right way to bounce back from the weekend's disappointment in the Derby, when they were beaten 5-2 by Atletico Madrid.
