Koulibaly reveals what Osimhen told him when he tried to make him join Al Hilal

Former Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly revealed that he made an effort to convince Victor Osimhen to sign for Al Hilal, but the Nigeria international explained why he had to join Galatasaray. 

The Senegal international is one of the leading figures at Al Hilal and was teammates with the Super Eagles star at Napoli. In a recent interview he explained that he tried to help the club secure the Osimhen signing. 

"We had the opportunity to speak with Victor Osimhen. I explained our reality in Saudi Arabia,” Koulibaly said, per Sporx. “I told him that there was a limited and distorted perspective on our league and that many important players, from Cristiano Ronaldo on down, were playing. 

“He told me that he and his family were warmly welcomed in Istanbul and that he had high ambitions. Victor Osimhen has made his choice. I wish him the best."

As Pulse Sports reported, Osimhen rejected the Blue Waves on multiple occasions last summer, despite the incredible financial package offered by the Saudi Pro League giants.
