The €75.00m makes Osimhen one of the most expensive players in this summer transfer window. As per Transfermarkt, Osimhen’s €75.00m move is the sixth most expensive transfer this summer.

Osimhen is joint sixth alongside Cameroon’s Bryan Mbeumo, who also joined Manchester United for the same price.

Ahead of Osimhen in fifth place is Sesko, who joined the Red Devils €76.50m from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.

Liverpool spend big on Isak

However, the king of this year’s summer transfer window is Alexander Isak, whose deadline day move from Newcastle to Liverpool broke the British transfer record.

Isak joined Liverpool from Newcastle on deadline day for €145.00m, a British transfer record. It was the second time Liverpool broke the transfer record this summer, having paid €125.00m to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.

Liverpool’s big spending did not end there, though, as they also spent another €95.00m to sign Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Aside from Liverpool, Newcastle also spent big, with the Magpies paying €85.00m to sign Nick Woltemade from VFB Stuttgart and €57.70m to sign Yoane Wissa from Brentford.
