Kanayo O Kanayo: D'Tigers star laughs at ritual possibility at Hotel

Nigeria's senior men's basketball team known as D'Tigers are set to return to action.

D'Tigers are having a reset after their failure to qualify for the upcoming 2023 FIBA Men's World Cup, preparing for the Pre-Olympic Qualifying Tournament games.

The NBBF revealed a list of 15 home-based players and foreign stars to participate in the FIBA Pre-Olympic Qualifying Tournament games.

The team will be led by new Phoenix Suns forward Chimezie Metu as captain.

The players invited include EJ Anosike, Ike Ndugba, Michael Eric, Mike NUGA, Kaodirichi Akonbundu- Ehiohu, and Ibe Agu.

Others are Michael Daramola, Daniel Utomi, Warith Alatishe, Godwin Omenaka, UC Iroegbu. Victor Ezeh. Kanyinsola Odufuwa and Micahel Okiki.

Kanayo O Kanayo has been trending for weeks now following the revival of some of his old videos doing rituals and sacrifices to get money.

TikTok users assembled various excerpts from Kanayo's earlier films.

The seasoned actor was seen doing several ritual roles in the brief flicks. 

D'Tigers star EJ Anosike, now in Lagos, made a lighthearted joke following his arrival in Lagos.

In a post on his official social media platforms, Anosike shared a meeting with Nollywood actor Kanayo O Kanayo.

In the video, Kanayo was seen making a description as Anosike records laughing.

It was not lost on Anosike that Kanayo has been trending on social media due to some roles he played in participating in rituals.

The D’Tigers star laughed it off with a caption that said, “Ah Ah, Kanayo Dey Come To My Hotel ooooooo 😂😂😂😂

“Abeg I Don’t Do Sacrifice.”

The D’Tigers while in camp preparing for the upcoming FIBA pre-Olympic qualifiers, took notice of Anosike’s viral post about Kanayo.

Some of the D'Tigers stars and their colleagues, who were also not on the team took to the comment section of Anosike's post to give their thoughts about Kanayo and the ritual possibility.

Drawn against Senegal Mali and Uganda in Group A, D'Tigers need to get off to a good start.

The DTigers play the first game of the pre-Olympic qualifiers against Senegal on Monday, August 14, 2023, at the Eko Convention Center of the Eko Hotel.
