Juventus' chief football officer, Francesco Calvo, has stated that Juventus have no plans of terminating Paul Pogba's contract as he continues to recover from his injury.

The 29-year-old France international joined Juventus in the summer of 2022, but an injury that also ruled him out of France's Qatar 2022 World Cup squad has hampered his involvement with the Old Lady.

The length of time he has been out due to injury has led to reports that Juventus intended to terminate the ex-Manchester United midfielder's contract; however, the Juventus chief has come out to refute the claims.

'We are not planning to terminate Pogba’s contract,' - Calvo

Top transfer Journalist Fabrizio Romano reported a statement made by Juventus's chief football officer that claimed the rumours suggesting that they planned to terminate Pogba's contract to be false

Calvo was hired as the chief football officer a few weeks ago following the saga that saw Juventus handed a 15-point deduction and the resignation of their board members. The new executive has started putting out fires, and part of that was dispelling rumours of a Pogba contract termination.

Juventus executive says Pogba is training well.

“We are not planning to terminate Pogba’s contract, I can deny these stories,” Calvo cleared the air.

“He’s an important player for us, the injuries are part of the game but Paul is training well and we wait for him.”
