Juventus fans have been enraged after a video showed Ciro Santoriello, one of the prosecutors in the Prisma investigations that saw them docked 15 points, openly admitting to hating the club and loving Napoli.

The fury among fans is understandable after they saw their team lose 15 points in a decision that has effectively derailed their Serie A campaign this season. They are now questioning the fairness of a procedure involving a person with Santoriello's level of overt bias.

In the video, the presenter said to Satoriello, “There is a distance between us, seeing as you are a prosecutor and I am a lawyer, while you support Napoli and I support Inter.”

To which the prosecutor replied, “As long as it’s not Juventus,” before adding, “I am a super fan of Napoli and I hate Juventus.”

The context of Santoriello’s comments

Santoriello and the prosecutor's office have come out to defend the remarks and give some context to his words, saying he was speaking about a time when he favoured Juventus in a previous judgment.

In 2015, Santoriello presided over a case where Juventus had not included a sum in the section “charges and risks” in their balance sheet, but the prosecutor did not find any wrongdoing and proposed dismissing the case.

His comments in the video, which are believed to be from 2019, were made when he needed to defend his decision to dismiss the case against Juventus in 2015 and were not meant as a slight against the Old Lady
