Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has heaped praise on Arsenal's Ethan Nwaneri after the teenager's impressive performance in the Gunners' 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Nwaneri, who became Arsenal's second-youngest Premier League goalscorer, caught Hargreaves' attention with his composed finish.

Hargreaves described Nwaneri as a "Brilliant player" and highlighted his ability to receive the ball in tight spaces.

"That is what he is good at, on the half-turn, receiving the ball from anywhere," he said.

Hargreaves also praised Nwaneri's goal, saying:

"Great weighted pass and gets himself into a great spot. Look at that. Just Seventeen! He passes it into the goal, he doesn’t smash it."
