'Bones' was recently asked by Fox Sports Australia if he regretted not going after a fight with UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya

Over the years, the two have frequently traded insults, but a showdown never materialized.

Although both of them are extremely successful, according to "Bones," they are not comparable, so he has no interest in fighting Adesanya.

The heavyweight champion did, however, pause to recognize Adesanya's fame in what appeared to be an attempt to make peace.

He said, "I feel like my legacy and my career are past his.

"If this was like an Instagram following competition then yeah, we'd be neck and neck.

"But when it comes to our body of work, there's no competition and there's no reason for me to compare myself to him.

"He's done great things, and you know, people say there's lots of room in the sky for many stars, and he is undoubtably a star but I feel like our careers are really un-comparable. Not a fight that I need, no."

Jones went on to state that he hopes to take on Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou.

He is now expected to return to the octagon to face the winner of the fight between Australia's Robert Whittaker and South Africa's Dricus du Plessis.
