Jack Grealish: Everton advance in negotiations for Manchester City midfielder

Manchester City winger Jack Grealish is reportedly close to joining Everton, according to The Times.

The Merseyside club are in ongoing negotiations to secure the 29-year-old Englishman on loan.

The total package for the transfer could cost around €13.8 million. Tottenham, Newcastle, and Napoli are also reportedly interested in the player. Grealish has played for Manchester City since 2021.

During the 2024/2025 season, he made 32 appearances for the Citizens across all competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing 5 assists. His contract with the club runs until June 30, 2027.

Grealish is particularly keen on finding an exit, in order to play regularly ahead of the 2026 World Cup next year, and it has become clear that Pep Guardiola has no plans for him in the new season.

City have brought in Omar Marmoush and Rayan Cherki over the past 8 months, suggesting a deviation from the Grealish era.

Everton will now be hoping to complete the deal this week, ahead of the start of the new Premier League season.
