"It's done, it's decided!" - Zinedine Zidane set to become France head coach

It seems the legendary Frenchman has a clear plan and he's waiting to take the reins of the French national team, reports Defensa Central.

Current manager Didier Deschamps is expected to leave his post after the World Cup, with Zidane set to replace him.

Zinedine Zidane himself confirmed his desire to manage the French national team in a recent statement, as reported by Sportal.

Gilbert Brisbois, host of "After Foot" on RMC, further fueled speculation, claiming that Zidane's arrival as France's manager after the World Cup is a done deal. The well-known French journalist declared:

"Didier Deschamps is leaving in 2026. In a year, we'll have Zidane! What joy! It's done, it's decided!"

The legendary French footballer and former Real Madrid manager rejected a staggering offer from Saudi Arabia at the end of May, worth a reported €100 million for a one-year contract. He admitted he's waiting for the French national team job.

The celebrated former player and manager of the Madrid giants only managed Real from 2016 to 2018, and then again from 2019 to 2021. He was particularly successful in his first stint, leading Real to three consecutive Champions League titles. In total, he won 11 trophies at Real Madrid.
