In Nigeria, Israel Adesanya is attracting large audiences everywhere he goes, despite not wearing a UFC belt around his waist.

In the main event of UFC 305 on August 17, Adesanya was defeated by Dricus Du Plessis by fourth-round submission, effectively ending his title chances.
