Injury problems — Liverpool boss Arne Slot gets bad news ahead of Man Utd clash

Liverpool's preparation for this weekend’s monumental Premier League clash against Manchester United has been hampered by yet another injury scare, with Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman confirming midfielder Ryan Gravenberch suffered a hamstring issue on international duty.

The hugely important game comes at a crucial time for Liverpool, who have lost their last three matches and slipped behind Arsenal in the title race.

However, the international break has worsened the Reds injury crisis.

Koeman quickly revealed details on the 23-year-old’s condition, easing initial fears while confirming the issue.

“Ryan indicated he was experiencing some minor hamstring discomfort. We obviously didn’t take any risks with that.”

The midfielder will now return to Merseyside to be assessed to determine the precise severity of the injury.
