In a lavish ceremony held at The Barn at Faith Farms in Athens, Tennessee, Jacksonville Jaguars' rookie Travis Hunter, 22, wed his longtime girlfriend, Leanna Lenee, 23, on May 24. 

The couple, who began dating in 2022, celebrated their union with approximately 250 guests in an elegant setting adorned with white flowers and candles.

During the reception, Hunter surprised his new wife with a black Mercedes-Benz AMG G63 Brabus 800, a luxury vehicle valued at approximately ₦984 million ($611,210 USD). 

As reported by Sports Illustrated, the moment was captured in a video where Lenee is seen cutting a ribbon to unveil the extravagant gift, eliciting cheers from the attendees. 

This generous gesture follows their engagement in February 2024, during which Hunter presented Lenee with a $100,000 engagement ring. 

The couple has shared several public moments, including walking the red carpet at the 2025 NFL Draft, where Lenee gifted Hunter a Rolex and bracelet to celebrate his professional milestone. 

Despite their joyous occasion, the couple has faced public scrutiny over their relationship. 

Critics have accused Lenee of being a "gold digger," citing past incidents such as her initial hesitation to respond to Hunter's direct messages and her demeanor during his Heisman Trophy win.

In response to the backlash, Lenee posted an emotional eight-minute video on TikTok, vehemently denying the accusations and expressing her genuine love for Hunter.

Hunter has consistently defended Lenee against the criticism.

 In a previous statement, he remarked, "She makes me money and she makes her own money. So, if you're going to say she's a gold digger, make sure you say I'm a gold digger, too." 

As Hunter embarks on his professional football career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the couple appears steadfast in their commitment to each other, and unaffected by public opinion.
