Shedeur Sanders: American rapper and golden showers queen addresses claims she’s preying on $4.6 million-per-year NFL rookie

What started as a simple “congrats” quickly spiralled into a social media soap opera.

Rapper and reality star Yung Miami, known both for her time as one-half of City Girls and her no-filter media persona, found herself at the centre of fresh internet gossip after sending well-wishes to NFL newcomer Shedeur Sanders.

The 23-year-old quarterback and son of NFL legend Deion Sanders, saw his misery finally ended after being drafted by Cleveland Browns with the No. 144 selection.

Yung Miami, 31, reposted an image of Shedeur from the NFL’s official X page, adding two now-infamous messages:

“Even if I hit you once you part of my collection!!!!” and “I love seeing BLACK JOY s/o to the Sanders @ShedeurSanders Legendary!!!!!” 

The flirty lyric, borrowed from a Kanye West track, sent social media into a frenzy, with many speculating that the outspoken rapper was publicly shooting her shot.

Given Miami’s high-profile romantic past, including a headline-grabbing relationship with imprisoned music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, fans were quick to jump to conclusions. 

Over the weekend, photos also surfaced online of Yung Miami apparently poppin’ out at a celebration in honour of Sanders.

Shedeur Sanders, once the frontrunner for the No. 1 overall pick in November, unexpectedly slid to the fifth round, where the Cleveland Browns selected him at No. 144 after trading up.

The dramatic drop cost him significantly, as his rookie contract is now worth just $4.6 million, a far cry from the $48.8 million deal secured by this year's No. 1 pick Cam Ward, including a $32.2 million signing bonus.

Instead, Sanders will receive a $446,553 signing bonus, according to Spotrac.

It wasn’t long before Miami returned to X to set the record straight. 

With signature sass, she tweeted: “I could never go from a shark to Nemo.”

 A clear signal that, despite internet whispers, she’s not romantically linked to the NFL star.

Of course, this would not be the first time Yung Miami has trended for eyebrow-raising reasons. 

In 2023, she notoriously sparked viral shockwaves after a candid confession on her show Caresha Please, where she claimed to enjoy “golden showers” during intimacy. 

For context, a “golden shower” is a term used to describe an instance in which someone urinates on another person or group of people, normally during a sex act.

The revelation, which was made during a game of Resha Roulette with fellow rapper Trina – was followed by internet uproar and even saw fans dubbing Diddy “Pee Diddy.”

However, in May 2024, the rapper backtracked, admitting she fabricated the claim to boost sales for her card game. 

“Absolutely not!” she responded when asked if she truly liked golden showers, chalking it up to promotional tactics.

 “I never let a man pee on me. It was a joke. Y’all ran with it.”

While Miami shuts down dating allegations, the gossip train isn’t slowing down for Shedeur Sanders either. 

A video clip from draft day showing the 23-year-old rookie seated beside 28-year-old Jamaican music star Shenseea sparked fresh intrigue. 

In the footage, Shedeur, Shenseea, and another woman are seen in close quarters, with Shedeur commenting, “It happened so fast.” 

Though vague, the moment was enough to light up social media, with fans questioning if a romance might be blooming between the two stars.

So far, both Shedeur and Shenseea have remained tight-lipped, offering no confirmation nor denial.
