What Munoz said

In a recent interview, the in-form right back acknowledged the number of top clubs interested in him and how he intentionally plays to market himself to the best.

“I think there is a lot of talk about one club or the other. If you ask me, for me it would be a dream to be able to play for a club like this, be it Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid or Manchester United,” he said, per Football Espana

“I think I work for that; day by day I try my best to be able to attract the attention of one of these clubs at some point, because for me it is a dream to be able to get there.”

While he maintained that he is focused on Crystal Palace this season, he is open to an exit as early as the winter transfer window in January.

“Now I focus on my club, on being able to do things well at Crystal Palace. I’m not very attentive to what is being said; I don’t have any information about one of these clubs wanting me or not wanting me.”

“The focus is on Crystal Palace and the national team. We’ll see when the winter market gets closer and time will tell, but right now, total concentration for these two games with the national team.”

Barcelona's interest

As Pulse Sports reported, the Blaugrana have begun informal talks with the representatives of Crystal Palace right-back Daniel Munoz, as they are keen on strengthening their right-back options.

The 29-year-old joined the Eagles in the summer of 2024 and has steadily gone about establishing himself as one of the best fullbacks in the Premier League.

Munoz has a contract until 2028, with Palace retaining the right to extend the deal until 2029. They have the leverage, and their transfer habit suggests they will not sell him while the season is ongoing, seeing how averse they were to releasing Marc Guehi without a replacement.
