‘I like to feed him with the ball’ - Iwobi claims Chukwueze always pulls off crazy stuff with the ball

Both players found the net in a dramatic Premier League encounter at Craven Cottage on Tuesday night, but their efforts were in vain as Fulham ultimately fell 5-4 to Manchester City.

Chukwueze has been a standout performer in recent weeks, contributing two goals and two assists in his last three top-flight matches. 

This resurgence has not gone unnoticed by his Fulham and Super Eagles teammate, Iwobi, who has hailed him.

Speaking to FFCtv after the match, Iwobi revealed that Chukwueze's on-field brilliance is a regular sight on the training ground.

"His nickname in the training ground is Chukwu-magic," Iwobi said. "When he's in training he’s pulling off some crazy stuff, and most importantly he’s doing it on the pitch. Now he’s getting that end product—scoring goals and also creating chances.”

The former Arsenal midfielder highlighted Chukwueze's unique creative spark as a vital asset for the team, even while emphasising the need for a collective effort.

"Of course, we need everyone, but he’s one player that we should look out for," Iwobi explained. 

"I like to feed him with the ball because I know he’s always going to create something, and the fans will take to him. As long as he keeps his head down and remains consistent, we’re always going to back him."

Looking ahead, Fulham are set to host Crystal Palace in a London derby. Iwobi is focused on learning from the defeat and securing a positive result.
