Nikolay Tsolov enters the penultimate round of the 2025 Formula 3 season in second place overall, 28 points behind leader Rafael Camara.
The Bulgarian driver knows it won't be easy to overcome this deficit in the remaining two race weekends at the Hungaroring and Monza. However, he remains hopeful, aiming for a strong weekend near Budapest, where he won his first Formula 3 feature race a year ago.
The Hungaroring is a happy hunting ground for Nikola Tsolov... 👀

"I'm feeling great. Spa wasn't the weekend I expected, but Budapest is a track I've performed well on the past two years and I'm feeling confident, so I'm looking forward to the weekend. I'm hoping for a clean weekend, no cancelled sessions or strange things with the rain. I haven't had the best of luck with rain this year, but maybe it's time for that to change.
I think this is a track with characteristics that will suit our car and my driving style. It's quite technical, physically demanding, so it will be a pleasure for me. I know how to win a race here. So, let's try to repeat it.
Honestly, I'm not thinking about the title too much. I'm taking it round by round at the moment. With the cancelled race at Spa, we have one less opportunity. But at the same time, Rafa was starting second in conditions where you could barely see. So maybe, if the race had started, it would have been better for him.
This weekend promises to be unpredictable with changeable weather, especially for Sunday's feature race. The drivers will be using Pirelli's medium compound tires, meaning they'll have to be careful not to push too hard too early and excessively wear their tires.
Tsolov added that he doesn't know what to expect in the races, but believes he and Campos are in a good position for a strong result based on their overall race pace this season.
"I don't have any expectations because we don't know what it will be like. At Spa, after 12 laps, we were struggling quite a bit with the tires. But I'd say I wasn't myself compared to other rounds, which is a good sign, because I think it will be harder here.
