AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri has dismissed speculation linking the Rossoneri with moves for Adrien Rabiot and Dusan Vlahovic, insisting he has not requested either player despite recent reports.
Following reports of a possible fallout between Rabiot and Marseille, the French midfielder was briefly connected with a switch to Milan.
What Allegri said
Allegri, however, made it clear that no contact has been made.
“No, absolutely not. We haven’t spoken since before the holidays,” Allegri told reporters.
He added, “I’m fond of Rabiot, but when he arrived at Juventus I had already left. He’s a Marseille player. I respect him a lot, but we haven’t talked recently.”
The coach acknowledged his good relationship with the France international but stressed that rumuors of a reunion are unfounded.
Speculation also intensified over Milan’s interest in Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, who remains in limbo as the Bianconeri push to offload him.
Despite Juve’s desire to sell, Vlahovic is unwilling to extend his current deal beyond 2026 or accept a pay cut.
Allegri distanced himself from the chase, “I never asked for Vlahovic, also because he’s a Juventus player. I’ve discussed his characteristics with the club, but that’s it. If players with different profiles arrive, we’ll adapt," he said.
Milan’s search for attacking reinforcements has already hit a snag after negotiations for Sporting CP forward Conrad Harder collapsed. With the clock ticking on the transfer window, the Rossoneri face mounting pressure to secure alternatives.
Despite the uncertainty in the market, Milan must quickly regroup on the field. Allegri’s men face Lecce on Sunday, seeking a response after a disappointing 1–2 defeat to Cremonese in their previous outing.
