I couldn't hangout with my daughter — Osimhen explains 'boring' part of being a footballer
Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen is one of the most famous footballers around, but he finds it boring. The 26-year-old explained in a recent interview that fame prevents him from enjoying some of life's best moments and can become boring.
Osimhen's fame
Aside from being the best footballer from the most populous Black country in the world, Nigeria, Osimhen has also garnered a cult following in Naples and in Turkey.
His infectious energy and passion helped endear him to fans, making him so famous in Italy. Osimhen's fame reached stratospheric heights in Turkey over the course of a season in which he led the Cim-Bom to a domestic double. He is so loved by Galatasaray fans that some of them took out an ad on a billboard in Times Square, New York, pleading with him to stay at the club.
What Osimhen said about fame
The Nigerian is appreciative of his fame and all the love he gets, but recently, he revealed some of the drawbacks.
“I like to stay around this people [Olusosun residents]. I like to stay close to them. Because I feel like fame is boring,” he told Instablog TV. “Sometimes, you want to go outside; you cannot do a lot of things.
“I remember when I had my daughter and I want to take her somewhere with my family when they came to visit us in Italy. I couldn’t do much with my daughter on our first outing. I had to give her to my sister, and then I was just taking pictures and making videos. Just like I said, fame is boring.”
Meanwhile, the display of affection from Galatasaray fans reaped rewards, as the Nigerian agreed to sign permanently. The Cim-Bom have reached a total agreement with Napoli for his services and are set to announce the deal soon.
