As Pulse Sports reported, the Turkish champions have reached an agreement with Napoli on the transfer of Victor Osimhen. They will pay €40 million of the clause up front and the remaining €35 million in 2026. The deal also included a clause which prevents the Turkish side from selling Osimhen to an Italian club for the next two seasons.

What Buruk said

Napoli chiefs rejected multiple offers and frustrated their efforts with lofty demands, but the Lions eventually got the deal done, and for that, Buruk thanked the club's leadership. And not just for the Osimhen signing, but for their overall activity in the window.

"We are making significant transfer changes. We signed a very important player like Leroy Sane very quickly. Our president and board are always supporting us,” he said, per Cumhuriyet.

“A great deal of effort is being put into the Osimhen transfer with Mr Abdullah. Our chairman has his goals, and our board of directors have their wishes. The fans are motivating us all. We will complete the transfer. Work is ongoing. It's important for Osimhen to sign as soon as possible and for everyone to feel at ease.”

At the end of last season, Osimhen penned a heartfelt message to Galatasaray fans, seemingly saying goodbye, as he expected to leave the club. But Buruk explained that the Nigerian loved the club and only took time to think about his future.

“Osimhen didn't say goodbye to anyone here. He was confused and wanted time to think,” Buruk said. “If he didn’t have this love for Galatasaray, he might have been thinking very differently.

He received very serious offers. It's crucial for such star players to put money aside and choose happiness with Galatasaray. We've reached the end with Osimhen . I expect him to sign and join the team as soon as possible. I also spoke with Osimhen throughout this process and tried to keep his feelings alive when he was stuck.”
