Help me - Ruben Amorim 'cries' out, says Man Utd job has made him 10 years older in 2 months

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim celebrated his 40th birthday on Monday but joked that the stress of his job have aged him 10 years in just two months.

Amorim took over as United boss in November 2024, inheriting a team struggling for consistency.

Despite his tough start, which has seen seven defeats in 17 games, Amorim remains committed to his tactical blueprint.

After being wished a happy birthday by BBC Sport, Amorim quipped, "It's not 40, it's 50. After two months at Manchester United, it's 50!"

Amorim's birthday was made sweeter by United's narrow 1-0 win away at Fulham, courtesy of a Lisandro Martinez goal.

"It's a pleasure to spend my birthday here. You have a great country. I will enjoy more tomorrow with the win,” Amorim said.

United are now  12th on the Premier League table.
