'He has done it again' - Michael Carrick hails Sesko's latest rescue act at West Ham
22-year-old Benjamin Sesko has earned deserved praise from his boss Michael Carrick after his sensational rescue job off the bench helped Manchester United secure a 1-1 draw at West Ham United.
“He has done it again,” Carrick told the Premier League, acknowledging a predatory instinct that has now rescued United multiple times this season.
The late strike was not just about technical quality, but it was also about the ice-cold composure that separates elite strikers from the rest of the pack.
The man of the Big moment
For Carrick, who played alongside clutch performers like Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney, Sesko’s habit of delivering when the pressure is highest is becoming United’s most valuable asset.
His latest goal at the London Stadium came just nine days after he netted a 94th minute winner against another London side, Fulham, sealing his place as the ultimate super-sub for the Red Devils under Carrick.
“It is a fantastic finish. He has done it again. It was important we threw everything at it at the end and had a lot of forwards on the pitch,” Carrick told the Premier League.
What this Sesko goal and the one vs Fulham teach us is to remember his right foot is more dangerous than his head. It isn't about crossing but feeding him regularly on the pitch! pic.twitter.com/NP48UP14jE

The equaliser at 95:11 was significant as it marked the latest result-altering goal the Hammers have conceded since record-keeping started in the Premier League.
While the performance from the Red Devils was anything but vintage for long periods of time, Sesko’s introduction for Matheus Cunha late on changed the dynamic for Carrick’s men.
Carrick also noted that his team lacked the spark and sharpness in the final third on the night in east London, but made up for it with their ability to find a way through adversity - a great quality to have.
Sesko’s recent form and heroics suggest that he is primed for a start under Carrick, who has named an unchanged starting XI in each of his five matches at the club, as the Red Devils look to push for a return to Champions League football.
