Marco Silva said that there were doubts about the fitness of Raul Jimenez, but the forward is fit enough to start for Fulham. Alex Iwobi also made the starting lineup, but his Super Eagles teammate Cavin Bassey was left on the bench for the game.

Mikel Arteta, on the other hand, made just one change, with Eberechi Eze starting in midfield in place of the injured Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard.

Arsenal started the first half in control of possession, but could not create enough chances in the game. They only managed one shot on goal, which came from Victor Gyokeres’ strike.

The Gunners increased their intensity in the second half and created some chances, but they still had to rely on a set piece to get their first goal of the game.

Despite Fulham’s push for the equaliser, Arsenal stood firm and deprived the Cottagers of any shot on target in the game.

Following the win, the Gunners maintain their position at the top of the table, now three points ahead of Manchester City and four points ahead of Liverpool, who are yet to play this week.
