French Open: Gauff sets records that eluded Williams to set up Boisson showdown
Coco Gauff needed a comeback victory to defeat Madison Keys on Wednesday, thereby progressing to the French Open semi-final.
Having lost the first-set tiebreak, the 21-year-old surged back in the second and third sets to claim the all-American tussle 6-7(6), 6-4, 6-1.
Defeating Keys means Gauff has advanced to her third Roland Garros semi-final and the first time she has progressed to consecutive last-four contests at the same Grand Slam.
Gauff beats Williams to WTA feats
By ending Keys's 11-match winning streak at the Majors, Gauff became the youngest American in the Open Era (21 years and 73 days) to secure 25 wins or more at Roland Garros.

While she surpassed retired Serena Williams for the former feats, Wednesday's win saw the 21-year-old emulate one of Williams's achievements: being the youngest player to secure 10 career victories over a former Grand Slam champion since the 23-time Slam champion in 2002.

What’s next for Gauff?
Gauff returns to action on Thursday to take on French wild card Lois Boisson, aiming to avoid being the third top-10 player taken down by an unseeded player this week.
