FIFA The Best: Dembele beats Yamal again to claim Men's Player of the Year gong
Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembele has completed the set, edging competitors to win FIFA The Best Men's Player of the award.
The 28-year-old had already claimed the Ballon d'Or, winning the race against Barcelona's Lamine Yamal. He has now added FIFA's coveted prize to his individual trophy cabinet, underscoring the magnificent season he had.
Dembele's triumph
Dembélé was named The Best FIFA Men’s Player of 2025 at the official awards ceremony in Doha today, capping an extraordinary season in which he was integral to PSG’s treble-winning campaign.
He scored 35 goals and provided 16 assists across 53 appearances in 2024/25 and led the Parisiens to their first-ever UEFA Champions League title in addition to successes in the Ligue 1, Coupe de France, Trophée des Champions and French Super Cup.
Just months earlier, he had won the 2025 Ballon d’Or in Paris, becoming the sixth Frenchman ever to lift France Football’s coveted prize.
Dembele beat Barcelona's Lamine Yamal to the award, and his PSG teammate, Vitinha. Players like Jude Bellingham, Mohamed Salah, and Kylian Mbappe also trail him.
