Everton submit sizeable bid to Chelsea for Gallagher
According to reports, Everton have submitted a bid worth £45 million to Chelsea for the signing of Conor Gallagher.
The Toffees have appointed Sean Dyche as their new manager, and Gallagher, 22, appears to be a desired midfield reinforcement to commence the Dyche era at Everton.
Gallagher to Everton
According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Everton have made a bid for Chelsea's Conor Gallagher worth £45 million, of which £40 million is guaranteed plus £5 million in add-ons.
The Merseyside club want to add Gallagher to their team after losing youngster Anthony Gordon to Newcastle.
Chelsea are said to be evaluating the offer, as the former Crystal Palace midfielder has other suitors. The player is also reported to be considering his options.

The Blues have been looking to make midfield additions all winter, with Benfica’s Enzo Fernandez being the most desired by the two-time Champions League winners.
However, they are still some way apart from Benfica on valuation and payment structuring.
The sale of Conor Gallagher could give Graham Potter’s side more financial leeway to match Benfica’s request for the World Cup winner.
Another chance for Gallagher
Gallagher took the Premier League by storm in the 2021/22 season when he was at Crystal Palace on loan from Chelsea, earning himself a PFA Young Player of the Year nomination.
The 22-year-old was a main feature of Patrick Viera’s Crystal Palace, starting 33 league games, including three in Palace’s deep FA Cup run that saw them lose to Gallagher’s parent club, Chelsea, in the semi-final.
Gallagher's absence left Palace handicapped in the semi-final, as he was very influential in the way the team played. His performances did not go unnoticed by Chelsea, who made sure to have him for themselves this season.
Gallagher’s return to Chelsea has not gone as well as planned, with the England international starting only nine of Chelsea’s 20 league games so far.
A transfer to Everton could give the midfielder a chance to regain the level of prominence he enjoyed at Crystal Palace.
