Manchester United are reportedly considering Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner as a potential successor to Rubén Amorim, whose future remains uncertain amid a poor start to the season.

Oliver Glasner is currently in high demand after masterminding Palace's 2025 FA Cup final win, the club's first major trophy, and overseeing an impressive unbeaten run this season.

Since replacing Roy Hodgson in February 2024, the Austrian has lost just 15 of his 71 matches, completely turning the club's fortunes around.

According to Mirror Football, United have been given a boost due to the uncertainty surrounding Glasner's contract situation at Selhurst Park.

The 51-year-old has declined the chance to sign a new deal, meaning his chances of staying are reportedly "remote."

The fact that he employs a similar three-man defence system to the one currently used by Amorim makes him an obvious candidate for the new INEOS regime.

However, the United heirarchy have stressed that they remain committed to Amorim ahead of their crucial Premier League fixture against Sunderland this Saturday afternoon.
