After defeating Gabon's senior national basketball team on Wednesday, the Nigerian squad recovered impressively to advance to the quarterfinals of the competition.

At the end of the first quarter, the score was tied at 18-18, but the D'Tigers pulled ahead to take the second quarter 25-15.
They widened their advantage to 15-13 in the third quarter before securing it at 15-8 in the fourth.
In their upcoming game, Nigeria will take on the defending champions, DR Congo.
