Divorce who? Travis Hunter and Leanna Lenee silence critics with baby boy arrival 4 months after wedding

The rumour mill has been well and truly put to rest.

 Just four months after their wedding, NFL rookie Travis Hunter and his wife, Leanna Lenee, have silenced relentless critics and speculation of a divorce with the joyous news of their first child's arrival.

The couple, who have faced a barrage of online negativity, announced the birth of their baby boy in a heartwarming YouTube video, proving that their union is stronger than any social media gossip.

The couple, who were married in a lavish ceremony in Tennessee, shared their journey to parenthood in a touching video titled "Dear Son…". 

The footage, which has since gone viral, documents everything from Leanna's positive pregnancy test to the emotional moments in the delivery room.

The announcement stands as a powerful counter-narrative to the unfounded divorce claims that have plagued them in recent weeks. 

Fuelled by a misconstrued TikTok video of Leanna appearing emotional, parody accounts and speculative social media pages had spread a false narrative, even suggesting a staggering $40 million settlement. 

These claims were entirely without merit, and the couple had already been debunking them with public displays of affection and even the adoption of a kitten.

The arrival of their son is the ultimate rebuttal to those who have questioned the couple's relationship.

Leanna, who has been fiercely defended by her husband against online trolls, has consistently shown her support for the Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback.

Their relationship began in high school, and blossomed into a whirlwind romance. 

Leanna, born in England and raised stateside, graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2022.

Despite initially rejecting Travis’s advances, she eventually invited him to a birthday party in 2022 - a revelation that sparked outrage on social media.

Leanna was forced to deny the gold digger claims in a now-deleted monologue posted on her TikTok page.

“I truly love that man,” she said through tears, as reported by Pulse Sports.

 “He DM’d me when he had a girlfriend,” she shared. 

“I don’t do homewrecking, I’m not a side piece. I support women, so I would never do that to another woman, ’cause I would never want it done to me.”

She further detailed a personal sacrifice Hunter made early in their relationship, revealing, “Travis used to take me to parties and wait outside for hours while I was inside drinking, then take me home.”

Hunter proposed in February 2024, and they married in May 2025 at a lavish Tennessee venue where he surprised her with a high-end black Mercedes-Benz AMG G63 Brabus 800, valued at approximately ₦984 million ($611,210 USD). 

The new family member arrives just in time for Hunter’s debut season in the NFL, offering a new source of inspiration for the star player. 

While the online world may continue to be divided, with some still inexplicably treating the happy news as a "trap" for the young athlete, the couple are growing strong.
